Our President Is Putin’s Hostage?

I don’t know how else to explain Trump’s behavior toward Russia except that he’s being blackmailed. America has to grip this likely scenario. Our president is a traitor.

  1. “Our president is a traitor” ??? yes, but he is our traitor and we can do no wrong for we are an American citizen  unless we are a woman, a muslim,  or a person of color.

in case you missed last week last night, here’s john oliver recapping who our prez is

  2. If it weren’t so dangerous, it would be sad.  Trump’s sad little boy goes everywhere with him.  He’s all dressed up in braggadocio and self interest, but underneath he seems to really want daddy to like him.  Daddy seems to have taken the form of all the autocrats and dictators of the world and Donny wants to be just like them to get their approval.

  3. He is a traitor.

There will be a twinge of regret, compassion and much sadness regarding his time in “office” when he leaves. But he is a traitor at his core, now on the surface for the world to see.

  4. Well it’s time for me to update my version of an initial nickname for “our president “. SFB has become SFF in the pogo world. First word- Stoopid of course. Second word- short version of morbidly obese. Third word- sexual term rhyming with luck.

  5. Pogo

his Russian comments go way beyond stupid even for the venal, conniving, f**k that he is.

The S has to be “Senile”

If nothing else Trump may end up with his own constitutional amendment where politicians  are age limited out.

  7. The huge water balloon is waiting to hit, just hanging overhead a few meters above Pennsylvania Avenue.  For a lot more excitement, it is looking like another big red water balloon is filing up and hanging at the other end of the street.  I am holding on for a surprise present, maybe on Black Friday.  Something that would be fun is to have SFB do an interview with Mueller when he shows up after the Asian disaster tour.

  8. LOL

I think Sturge had a point yesterday. Moore is a walking Alabama joke. Love this from a politico article.

Asked by Hannity if he dated girls in their teens while he was in his 30s, Moore replied “not generally, no.” The Senate candidate said he did not “remember ever dating any girl without the permission of her mother.”

    LOL

All you need to finish the joke is say “and I only did  it with family”

You want to finish Moore just run an ad with a bunch of fat bellied good ole boys from the next state over, sitting sitting in a diner and using Moore to crack Alabama jokes.

  9. Our President Is Putin’s Hostage?
Yes, but it is more like blackmail.  It is all about the wee-wee leaks vid.  Meanwhile, trump looking like a toddler in his pjs wandering around asia has made a payment.

Mr DD, Chase’s ride is marvelous.  When Ms. Bologna went blind, we bought her a ride, too.  It is a leopard print design.  She strolls everyday in place of the old leash walk.

  10. Holy NCIS!  This murder in Africa is like an episode of the tv show.

Spooks, spooked.  Inside job?  Or outside job?    It has got to be both.

The National Security Agency has spent more than a year investigating a series of catastrophic breaches and has yet to determine whether it’s fighting foreign hackers or a mole inside the agency, The New York Times reports

  11. From sputnik news…the trump-swastika-pinwheel.   China needs to miniaturize this thing and mass manufacture to ship to the US.

The effigy of Trump, which was several meters high, was mounted on a spinning wheel that resembled a Nazi swastika, holding a nuclear missile, a bulldozer, a bag of US dollars and a pistol. The crowd cheered and chanted more slogans directed against the US president as the paper figure was lit.

  12. Evangelicals will forgive moore, but are there enough of them to elect him to the senate?   The response from the evangelical community has been horrid through our cultural changes.   I say we give them there own territory — Puerto Rico.  Give them the island and they can rebuild and work hard for their territory, but never be allowed to vote for potus.  The church-state is dead.  Ship ’em off and get them out-of-our national elections.   Crusader trump has made it harder with his EO.

  13. Hell ya SFF (good one Pogo) is a traitor…

BlondeW…  I want one of those pinwheels and a box of matches for Xmas…

MrDD…  Chase is a cutie pie!

  14. bw, Puerto rico has enough problems.  why dump the fringe loonies on them when there are perfectly suitable manmade garbage islands suitable to their tastes.  can envision king roy sitting there on a used porcelain throne waving his rubber scepter.

  15. remember this guy?  he’s in the news again.

    business insider:

Former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos told senior policy adviser Stephen Miller in an email last April that he had received an “interesting message” from Russia — one day after learning that the Kremlin had apparent “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.

The emails were disclosed in court documents filed by special counsel Robert Mueller’s office and unsealed late last month. The New York Times revealed last weekend that Miller was the “senior policy adviser” described, but not named, in the court filings.

Miller, who remains a top White House policy adviser and speechwriter for President Donald Trump, was in regular contact with Papadopoulos over the course of several months last year, the court filings show. He has reportedly been interviewed by Mueller as part of the special counsel’s probe into potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

On April 25, after “multiple conversations” with a Russian national connected to Russia’s ministry of foreign affairs, Papadopoulos emailed Miller and said “the Russian government has an open invitation by Putin for Mr. Trump to meet him when he is ready,” referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The advantage of being in London is that these governments tend to speak a bit more openly in ‘neutral’ cities,” he said.

On April 26, Papadopoulos met with Joseph Mifsud — identified in the court filings as an “overseas professor” — for breakfast at a London hotel. There, Mifsud told Papadopoulos that he had learned from high-level Kremlin officials during his recent trip to Moscow that the Russians had “dirt” on Clinton in the form of “thousands of emails,” according to the filings.

Papadopoulos emailed Miller the next day.

“Have some interesting messages coming in from Moscow about a trip when the time is write,” he wrote, according to the court filings.

Papadopoulos emailed then-campaign manager Paul Manafort on April 27, too, asking “to discuss Russia’s interest in hosting Mr. Trump.” Manafort, a campaign strategist at that point, was described in the court filings as a “high-ranking campaign official.”

“Have been receiving a lot of calls over the last month about Putin wanting to host him and the team when the time is right,” Papadopoulos told Manafort.
‘Is this something we want to move forward with?’
It is unclear whether Papadopoulos ever told Miller or Manafort what those “interesting messages” were. It is also unknown whether Papadopoulos’ overtures extended to phone calls, which would not have been monitored or preserved.

But the young adviser continued to pitch a Trump-Putin meeting to high-level campaign officials, including national chairman Sam Clovis and campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

  16. SFF will never admit to anything he thinks casts doubt as to whether he is the legitimate president.

He would rather be a traitor

  17. I continue to light candles on the altar and Mueller should be able to prove ‘conspiracy against America’ by the trumpence junta which also includes some of the rnc.   The data piece of the election heist will be the key to the investigation. I hope it is large part of Mueller’s investigation.  It also shows how weak our agencies and systems have become as they cannot stop a cyber attack, artificial stupidity or hack theft.   If the top officials continue to state’no votes were changed’ during the election of 2016?  Something did happen and it is so easy with our patchwork of voting districts to switch votes in 17 counties to create an electoral college win.   This is the uneasy part of the investigation…a phony prez, faux news, fake news…we have an illegitimate election.  Will Mueller make that leap or leave it be?  What will he do to protect our institutions?

The takedown of the US was so easy.  China orders the election hack, russia complies and the silk road continues to dominate.

  18. Watching movie trailers today for the upcoming holiday and Oscar possible films.  This one for The Post makes me wish every ounce of dirt on Donald Trump comes out and comes out soon.

  19. Right out of the SFF playbook  Moore is suing the Post…can’t wait for that trial.

And Banhim is sending researchers (sic) to Alabama to dig up dirt on the women in the post story. He’s such an attractive guy.

  20. Never attribute to evil when stupidity will suffice
Jennifer Rubin at WaPo does a very good argument for  stupidity.

Trump is very much like the devoted Fox viewer who sits mesmerized in front of the screen, searching for evidence to support his prejudices, baseless suspicions and grievances against elites. See, there’s another crime by an immigrant. See, they’re all murderers. See, Sean Hannity found someone to say the Democrats hacked themselves! See, the Russia investigation is a hoax. Soaking up the brew of innuendo, hoaxes, lies and paranoia, Trump and his followers come to believe it all — and disbelieve the facts under their noses.

Trump and his followers are willing to believe anything because they want to believe anything that confirms their counterfactual world. Anyone who sides with their alternative universe (Sebastian Gorka, Vladimir Putin, Bill O’Reilly, Roy Moore) is a hero and a victim of those pro-immigrant, globalist, anti-Christian elites. Anyone who presents cold, hard facts (the mainstream media, scientists, allied governments, Democrats, #NeverTrumpers) that explode their dearly held myths is an enemy of the people.Yes, that’s the mental universe in which Trump and his ilk reside.

  21. Robert Mercer’s views are in many ways worse for a Democracy then Banhim.  And he is the banker.

And Mitch MConnell there is a profile in courage now that Moore is dropping like a stone Mitchy M thinks he should get out

  22. kgc, must give myrtle credit for actually letting the words “I believe the women” usher from his lips.  now that, one has to admit, you don’t hear very often coming out of a man’s mouth, let alone his.

  23. Pat

I’m not a believer in McConnells integrity so I’m assuming  internal pols are showing Sturge to be right, Moore is toast the seat is lost, now comes damage control.

Philippines’ Duterte sings love song for Trump: ‘You are the light’

President performs surprise turn at a summit dinner in Manila, explaining it was ordered by the US leader

President Rodrigo Duterte crooned a hit Filipino love song at a dinner in Manila for leaders from across Asia, explaining later that it was “on the orders of Donald Trump”.

The US president and Duterte were among 19 leaders at a gala in the Philippines capital on Sunday before the annual Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit. At one point Duterte took the microphone to sing Ikaw (You), in a duet with local pop diva Pilita Corrales.

One of the song’s verses, translated from Filipino, begins: “You are the light in my world, a half of this heart of mine.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I sang uninvited, upon the orders of the commander-in-chief of the United States,” Duterte said later, according to the ABS-CBN news channel.

  26. also in today’s the guardian:

Joe Biden has insisted that under no circumstances would he have agreed to replace Hillary Clinton last year as the Democratic presidential nominee running against Donald Trump.

The former US vice-president was asked about former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Donna Brazile’s book, Hacks, which says she considered replacing Clinton with Biden because of health concerns, particularly after the nominee suffered a fainting spell at a 9/11 anniversary commemoration in New York.

Biden told NBC’s Today show on Monday: “I give you my word, the first time I or any of my staff heard of anything about that was in the book, number one. And number two, I would never have taken it.”

He added: “I was for Hillary. I did 83 campaign events for Hillary. I think I can say I did more events and worked as hard for Hillary as anyone else. She would have been a first-rate president.”

  28. Another woman has come forward to tell about the pedophile attacking her when she was a minor.  As each one of these women talk many others will gain the strength to do the same.  Too bad the world o Alabama and Mississippi is that of 1840 and not 2017.  Shame on those willing to allow a pedophile go free.

  29. From Merriam webster

    Definition of pedophilia

:sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object; specifically :a psychiatric disorder in which an adult has sexual fantasies about or engages in sexual acts with a prepubescent child

Roy boy may be a lot of things but so far I’ve seen no accusations of pedophilia.  It is sloppy use of the term that ends up ruining lives of 18 yr old boys who have sex with younger girl friend.

  30. ap via msn: Another accuser comes forward against Roy Moore

Moore’s campaign sent out a statement before a news conference Monday held by lawyer Gloria Allred and the latest accuser, Beverly Young Nelson.

The statement says Allred “is a sensationalist leading a witch hunt.” It says Moore is innocent and “has never had any sexual misconduct with anyone.” The statement reiterates that Moore “will pursue all legal options against these false claims.”

Nelson says Moore assaulted her when she was 16 and he gave her a ride home from a restaurant where she worked.

Her statement follows a Washington Post report that the 70-year-old More had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl and pursued three other teenagers decades earlier.
The latest accuser of Alabama Republican Roy Moore says the Senate candidate assaulted her when he gave her a ride home one night in the late 1970s.
Beverly Young Nelson cried at a news conference in New York with attorney Gloria Allred.
Nelson says she was a 16-year-old high school student working at a restaurant where Moore was a regular. She says Moore groped her, touched her breasts and locked the door to keep her inside his car. She said he squeezed her neck while trying to push her head toward his crotch and that he tried to pull her shirt off.
She said he finally relented and, as she fell or was pushed out of the car, warned her no one would believe her if she spoke about the encounter.
She said she was a high school student at Gadsen High School at the Olde Hickory House and Moore was a regular customer. He sat in the same seat night after night.
Moore called the allegations a “witch hunt” in a statement shortly before the news conference.

  31. fuller coverage of statement from business insider:

Beverly Young Nelson said that Roy Moore, who is running for US Senate in Alabama, sexually assaulted her when she was 16 years old.

Nelson, 56, said she got to know Moore when she was working as a waitress at the Olde Hickory House restaurant in Gadsden, Alabama when he was the District Attorney of Etowah County in the late 1970s.

She said Moore, then in his 30s, was a regular at the restaurant and often complimented her on her looks and would sometimes touch her long hair as she walked past his seat at the counter. One day, Moore offered Nelson a ride home after her shift ended at 10 pm.

Nelson, who accepted the offer because her boyfriend was late to pick her up, said that Moore drove her around to the back of the restaurant and assaulted her in his car in a dark corner of the parking lot.

“Instead of driving to the street, he stopped the car and he parked his car in between the dumpster in the back of the restaurant where there were no lines. The area was dark and it was deserted. I was alarmed and I immediately asked him what he was doing,” Nelson recounted in a press conference with her attorney on Monday afternoon.

“Instead of answering my question, Mr. Moore reached over and began groping me, putting his hands on my breasts. I tried to open my car door to leave but he reached over and locked it so I could not get out,” Nelson continued. “I tried to fight him off and yelled at him to stop, but instead of stopping he started squeezing my neck attempting to force my head onto his crotch.”

Nelson said she feared Moore was going to try to rape her and she began crying as he assaulted her.

“I was not going to allow him to force me to have sex with him,” Nelson said. “I was terrified. I thought he was going to rape me. At some point, he gave up and he looked at me and he told me, ‘You’re just a child,’ and he said, ‘I am the District Attorney and if you tell anyone about this, no one will ever believe you.'”

Nelson recounted that after the assault she either fell out of the car or he pushed her out, driving away as she lay on the ground of the parking lot.

“The passenger door was still open as he burned rubber pulling away as he left me laying there on the cold concrete,” she said.

Nelson said she told her sister about the incident two weeks later and told her husband, John, before she married him 13 years ago. She also told her mother four years ago.

In December of 1977, before the assault occured, Nelson said she brought her high school yearbook to her shift at the restaurant and Moore asked to sign it. Nelson said she knew Moore was “an important person” and that she was flattered by the offer.

Nelson presented the yearbook and Moore’s handwritten note to her at the press conference with lawyer Gloria Allred, who is representing her.

“To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say ‘Merry Christmas,'” Moore wrote, signing off, “Love, Roy Moore, D.A.”

Allred, who has represented dozens of high-profile victims of alleged sexual misconduct, including one of President Donald Trump’s accusers, told reporters that politics had nothing to do with her decision to represent Nelson.

Nelson, who voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, also said that her allegations were not motivated by politics.

“This has nothing to do whatsoever with the Republicans or the Democrats,” she said. “It has everything to do with Mr. Moore’s sexual assault when I was a teenager.”

  32. Denver post:

Cory Gardner: If Roy Moore wins election, Senate should expel him
Colorado Republican who leads GOP Senate fundraising ratchets up rhetoric on embattled Senate candidate from Alabama
“I believe the individuals speaking out against Roy Moore spoke with courage and truth, proving he is unfit to serve in the United States Senate and he should not run for office,” Gardner said in a statement. “If he refuses to withdraw and wins, the Senate should vote to expel him, because he does not meet the ethical and moral requirements of the United States Senate.”

  33. excerpt from  George Will’s op ed: “Roy Moore is an embarrassment. Doug Jones deserves to win.”

Evangelical Christians who embrace Moore are serving the public good by making ridiculous their pose as uniquely moral Americans, and by revealing their leaders to be especially grotesque specimens of the vanity — vanity about virtue — that is curdling politics. Another public benefit from the Moore spectacle is the embarrassment of national Republicans. Their party having made the star of the “Access Hollywood” tape president, they now are horrified that Moore might become 1 percent of the Senate. Actually, this scofflaw, twice removed from Alabama’s Supreme Court, once for disobeying a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, is a suitable sidekick for the president who pardoned Joe Arpaio, Arizona’s criminal former sheriff. Even after Donald Trump conceded that Barack Obama was born in United States, Moore continued rejecting such squishiness.

  34. Big Al Downing and Mr Jones…..had the distinct pleasure of performing with and opening for Big Al in Bristol, Tn oncet….a huge gentle man and great talent.

  35. You can hear the true art of “Nashville” bass playing on that cut, by the way……Big Al went to his dressing room after rehearsal and we were all wondering how he would dress for the show……We were sure that he would “juice” it up somehow…..for rehearsal, more or less off the street, he was wearing a big gray Stetson, cowboy snap-button shirt, jeans with a giant silver rodeo buckle, and boots……
Then the show……Big Al came out to the “Cant Turn You A-loose” music wearing a knee-length Scarlet velvet Vest and a matching scarlet cowboy hat……it was dynamic

  36. Unless you have lived in the “south” or places where, even up to the 1980’s, girls had to be married before the age of 16, there is a lot to try to understand.  That is probably why the creepy, pedophile thought he had the right to attack girls.

    AND

There is something else the evil bastard said that has been misinterpreted.  “asked their mother”  So many “christians”, ie old men who want child brides,  use this as their excuse to rape little girls.  The mothers gave their permission for their little girls to be taken by the district attorney.  You have to wonder how many children were fathered by the bastard?

  37. jack, thanks for reminding us about usage.  here’s wiki on the more accurate charge against roy and his ilk:
    Misuse of medical terminology
The words pedophile and pedophilia are commonly used informally to describe an adult’s sexual interest in pubescent or post-pubescent teenagers. The terms hebephilia or ephebophilia may be more accurate in these cases.[9][26][137] This was especially seen in the case of Mark Foley during the congressional page incident. Most of the media labeled Foley a pedophile, which led David Tuller of Slate magazine to state that Foley was not a pedophile but rather an ephebophile.[138]

Another common usage of pedophilia is to refer to the act of sexual abuse itself, rather than the medical meaning, which is a preference for prepubescents on the part of the older individual (see above for an explanation of the distinction). There are also situations where the terms are misused to refer to relationships where the younger person is an adult of legal age, but is either considered too young in comparison to their older partner, or the older partner occupies a position of authority over them. Researchers state that the above uses of the term pedophilia are imprecise or suggest that they are best avoided. The Mayo Clinic states that pedophilia “is not a criminal or legal term”.

  38. Ephebophilia

Ephebophilia is the primary sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, generally ages 15 to 19.[1] The term was originally used in the late 19th to mid 20th century. It is one of a number of sexual preferences across age groups subsumed under the technical term chronophilia. Ephebophilia strictly denotes the preference for mid-to-late adolescent sexual partners, not the mere presence of some level of sexual attraction.

In research environments, specific terms are used for chronophilias: for instance, ephebophilia to refer to the sexual preference for mid-to-late adolescents, hebephilia to refer to the sexual preference for earlier pubescent individuals, and pedophilia to refer to the primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children. However, the term pedophilia is commonly used by the general public to refer to any sexual interest in minors below the legal age of consent, regardless of their level of physical or mental development.
